The 10 Months for Faith fund raising campaign is our effort to discover the money that the Lord has reserved for us. Some one once told me, Mike, missionaries don’t beg for money, they discover the people that the Lord wants to help them.
I think that is a wonderful way of looking at deputation. Our campaign is similar. There is no nagging phone plea. There are no bulk-rate letters cramming your mailbox. There is never any pressure except that which the Lord places on your heart.
Your 10 Months for Faith can begin and end whenever you’d like. The goal is to commit to help us for a limited time. Over 10 Months you give approximately $1.66 per day or $11.62 per week or $50 per month. It is that simple. If you give through our missions agency Baptist Mid-Missions (see below for address) your gift will earn you a Federal Income Tax deduction.
For those unfamiliar with our project let me fill in some of the details. For over two years now our young church has been 
looking for a place to congregate. Our work in the projects seemed to limit some of the normal options a church might have available when ministering God’s Word.
However, we are seeing God work in some very interesting and wonderful ways. We have use of a public building for the weekends at no cost. God has helped many Brazilians to embrace our project thus giving us money for the purchase.
We purchased two lots very near our neighborhood in October. We paid two thirds in cash and borrowed one third over a two year period at just one percent. God is blessing and so far we have made all the payments. He is also providing funds for us to begin the construction process.
