Over the years we have received many visits from ministry teams from the States. I began my missionary career with a missions trip and know that they can really affect a persons life. Some churches include money in their budget for missions trips and ministry teams.
Our little church is thinking boldly. We want to do a missions trip too. However, we are thinking WAY out of our missions trip box. We want to come to the United States!
Here’s our plan. In 2013 Dawn and I will be taking a six month furlough to visit our supporting churches and families. Our church would like to take advantage of that visit and send a ministry team along. We would like for our ministry family to get to know you, our friends and supporters.
I suggested the plan to Alexandre a few months ago and his eyes lit up. He quickly dismissed the idea however. His wage is very small and it would be almost impossible for him to purchase a visa, passport and ticket to the States. Or would it? He went home and began a savings plan. To date he has been able to save half the cost of a ticket!
I mentioned the idea to pastor Samuel and his wife Joelma. They too are very interested. Our ministry team would consist of these five. We would like you to pray with us and allow God to direct our plans. We may visit YOU!
